As I write down these few lines for the first time as a Superior General of Handmaids of Christ, Goa, I feel deeply grateful to Almighty God, for He who is Mighty has done great things for us and I am genuinely thankful to Him for the precious gift of each of you my dear sisters. By electing me as your Superior General, you have placed your profound trust in me. Indeed I strongly felt the vibrations of your prayers and your strong support. I count on your incessant prayers and your blessings. Choosing the theme: ‘Empowered by God’s Mercy, to be at the service of all’, I desire to Experience God’s unremitting Merciful love in order to share the same with you all. Let us work together to make our Congregation and our Communities an abode of love and mercy, for “A little bit of mercy makes the world less cold and more just.” Pope Francis
I express my sincere thanks to the outgoing General team: Our former Superior General Sr. Jennifer Crasto and her Councillors Sr. Amelia D’Souza, Sr. Joanita D’Sousa, Sr. Lina Dias, Sr. Tomacine D’Sa and Sr. Perpetua Fernandes. Their dedicated and untiring services to our Congregation and to each one of us will remain etched in the annals of our Congregation.
