ACT  OF  CONSECRATION

Said by sisters in common on Saturday’s after night prayer

Most Holy Virgin and our Mother,

behold us prostrate at your feet.

Mindful that your Divine Son,

from His cross bequeathed you as Our Mother,

we have recourse to you with all confidence.

Sinful as we are, we consecrate to you,

O Immaculate Virgin,

our persons, our convent, our school, and our orphanages.

Henceforth we want to be entirely yours;

protect and defend us, and our houses,

as your property and possession.

Each of us dedicates and consecrates to you, today,

our body with all its senses, our hearts with all its affections,

our souls with all our faculties,

our whole self with every fibre of its being.

We are sorry for our past infidelities,

and we earnestly desire that henceforth our lives may be of complete 

surrender to you and your Divine Son.

Be you our intercessor,

and our shield to ward off from us your Divine justice.

You know dear Mother,

how the devil and the world are trying their utmost to deceive us;

obtain for us the necessary grace and strength to overcome the enemy of our souls and a complete detachment from the things of this earth.

O Most Holy Virgin,

and our dear Mother,

we have recourse to your mercy and

we place ourselves under your protection.

Be you a safe refuge in all our necessities and our advocate before your Divine Son today and all the days of our life, and especially at the hour of our death.

Deign to accept, O dear Mother,

our solemn consecration,

and obtain for us that from today,

we may begin a new life, 

a life of fervor and of complete union with you and your Divine Son, and on our part,

we promise to use all the means at our disposal to this end.

We place all our trust in you and your Divine Son. 

We entreat you to enclose the heart of each one of us within your Immaculate Heart and the Sacred Heart of your Divine Son,

so that they may be afire with your love,

so that after having lived by your love on earth,

we may be united forever in Heaven.
