PRAYER  DURING  THE  NOVENA  OF  ST.  ALEX

O glorious St. Alex favored friend of God and our patron,

prostrated before your image,

we salute you as our loving Father,

guardian and patron of the Congregation of Sisters of Handmaids of Christ [formerly Sisters of St. Alex].

We thank God for all the blessings bestowed on us through your intercession for the protection and care with which you shielded our Congregation.

We rejoice on account of the great glory that you enjoy in heaven and pray with great confidence that you help us in our troubles and dangers to which we are liable. 

Implore for each one of us and for all those who are dear to us obtain for us the graces that are necessary and which we ask for in this Novena

[Your Request]. 

Obtain also for us O Saint all the virtues, so that we may be more pleasing to God. 

Humility, meekness, patience, charity, obedience, persevering devotion to the 

Passion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ,

love and confidence in the protection 

of the holy virgin Mother,

and zeal for her glory,

spirit of prayer and recollection, 

sincere regard and love for our religious state,

faithfulness in the observance of regulations,

generous and perfect love for God and the acceptance of His Holy Will in all things.

Take under your protection,

the children who are under our administration,

watch over them incessantly and obtain for them solid piety and great horror of sin.

Bless our convent, protect it, and make it flourish morally and religiously for the glory of God.
